Route 66

We took a trip from Topock to Kingman AZ and stopped at the old western town of Oatman. Had a great lunch in the Oatman Hotel restaurant. The walls are covered in money, approximately $150,000. Apparently in the early days, the locals would write their name on a dollar and give it to the bartender to hang on the wall to cover their drinks. It became customary to just leave an additional dollar on the wall when they left so they always knew they had a tab at the bar if they got thirsty. Now the walls are covered!
